drop a cool trillion+ on a bullshit war, republicans dont bat an eye, talk about putting money towards helping people out... thats socialism. Obama screwed up when they tried to rush this healthcare thing, reform can be good, and fix alot of the problems. but the attitude that most are carrying is a pompous 'I'm doing just fine, to hell with everyone else. also, oddly enough why is it the hardcore religious nuts, oppose something to help the poor and mis fortuned? wouldnt that be what jesus did?

I would also add that alot of these anti-government views stems from the republicans in the south portion of this country. I mean think about it....not once, but two times the federal government had to send troops to the south to rid it of first slavery, then segregation. Also, I don't hear these anti-government people protest the military, fire fighters, or the police. We pay taxes to these services so that we can live in a safe society. A healthy society is just as important as a safe society.

Denmark has a fully fledged healthcare system, that works perfectly. Everyone, that is a danish citizin can instantly get free healthcare, that covers basicly everthing in the world of medicine. Why dont the democrats use them as a example?

There are two types of right wingers.
The land owner planter, slave owners, and the troops of the CSA who wanted to be better than slaves, and fought and died for cause they were led to believe in: although there would be no way for them to ever be more than a share cropper.
The good land was already spoken for by former Virginians.
Go figure, This may be a case of being stupid and proud of it.
How are we to argue with either of these "factions"?

The far right don't want to provide healthcare but they have no problem sending troops to die just to find people we should have taken care of 20 years ago. As a Conservative, this disgusts me.

Right on! They gave Bush 8 years to wreck the country but want Obama to fix it in 8 months

Lastly - Another example involving regular Medicare coverage: The House bill proposes a $20 billion cut in hospital readmission subsidies. This has to do with patients who re-enter the hospital to be retreated or have procedures fixed. Gail Wilensky, who ran the Medicare program under President George H.W. Bush in the early 1990s, said this is just one example of how cuts to Medicare payments could ultimately trickle down to patients.
-
"People enrolled in (Medicare Advantage) get services that people in traditional care do not get under Medicare," he said. "Insurance companies can afford to cover these services because taxpayer money is subsidizing them. Plans will most likely not offer those extra services, but in no case will [patients] get less Medicare benefits than people in the rest of the program."
There are 5 bills being considered, the final outcome has yet to be determined.
republicans always talk about terrorism and how we have to fight terrorism. but dont you think that the republican politicians are kind of terrorists, i mean they dont want a health care system for all because they know that big corporations will lose a little bit of money. they dont care if the very ppl who voted for them get fucked over just so fat cats can get more money. and they use religion to get votes and so ppl will b on their side, but didnt jesus always help the poor?

@ENORT99 You've hit the nail right on its head, my friend. All that Republicans truly care about is the transference of the Nation's wealth to the top 1% in the economic scale through skewed and unfair fiscal policies. They have shown time and again that they couldn't care less for the remaining 99% of the population, and I am glad that you realize this too. Thanks for watching!

As of today only 41% of the people want this bill passed. 56% oppose it. If this is a democracy we live in, why should it be passed as it is? Shouldn't it be ammended to show a current majority want it? This is the essence of taxation without representation!

I don't know what polls you're looking at, but they're wrong. You must be looking at doctored Fox News statistics. The majority may not like specific portions of the bill, but the majority also knows very well that the current situation with health care is a time bomb, and that many are suffering because of it. Drop the very misused and abused revolutionary war-vintage phrases and get real.

Its sickening how people literally believe that Charles Darwin was the greatest person who ever lived simply because he stated and created his own opinions on things. This is the UNITED STATES with the keyword being UNITED. That survival of the fittest may work elsewhere but not here. If our fellow man is to weak to left themselves up then me must help them become strong. We are one people regardless of who it is. Values that are unamerican do not belong in America case end point.

There's a very important distinction that must be made regarding your comment. As far as science and the theory of evolution are concerned, Darwin is effectively one of the great scientific minds in History, and that is irrefutable. The problem is that there are those in our Country who over the past 8 years have bent over backwards to take capitalism to such an extreme that it has acquired a Darwinian quality to it, and this is not Darwin's fault in any way, shape, or form.
