You don't get it. I'm not arguing that the stupid system makes sense.
I am arguing that the president of the US has no more authority than you or I do in deciding how stupid it is.
The constitutional crisis occurs when we, as citizens, accent the idea that the president *really has* such power.

I view this as common sense, not a constitutional crisis. Obama as sports fan using bully pulpit (as he said he would pre-election) to express his opinion, and that of REAL football (competition) fans - with Republican support in congress by the way (Hatch - UT) . . . Hardly a constitutional crisis, but then I'm sure Nokia, Toyota, and others (foreign and domestic) now have checks in the mail payable to Sam Alito.

@RonPaulGeorgeRingo You hit it right on the head. For this simple reason which the BCS overlooked. How Can A National Champion Be Claimed when almost half of the competition is removed?
