No Christmas tree? Most houses have one, and we can have both goose and oysters!
And usually the recreation of the nativity scene is not done by people or puppets, but by big santons in churches, smaller ones in houses. And it's "bûche", not "busche" ! And the shoes stuff has not been done since the 70's or so, only a few people still do this!

Christmas trees not traditional in France??? What nonsense! Every house has got one. Get your facts right before introducing your videos...and that strong American accent makes it extremely difficult for non Americans to understand anything you say.(even difficult for an English person)

Hey, can you help me...Im trying to find some kind of story based in France. For example like a Christmas story or something. It like has to be a tradition or holiday or
something. I have been looking on the internet and I cant find any at all. Thanks
Excuse me, i'm French.
Maybe i haven't understood all about what you said.I think you're a little wrong about our French Christmas.
SO, in France, there are :
people having Christian Christmas, with Nativity scene recreated
and people having Christmas, with the Père Noël, the Christmas Father, who goes in all houses with a sled and his reindeers.
There is a Christmas tree in each house.
Christmas meal is a big tradition. i can't summarize.
Christmas is different too, in each French land.
