This is exactly what happened to me at an event in Downtown Los Angeles. I had to loop the other track on 8 counts while I tried to figure how to get the CD out. I ended up turning off the CDJ for about a minute and turning it back on. That eventually got the CD out.

i have the exact same problem with mine at the moment, gonna try cleaning the lense manually to see if it helps, if not ill have to send it away.

ive got the same problem. but when i put the same disk in the other cdj it works perfectly. ive got 2 800mk2s.

the CDJ is already back from service. a sensor from the drive had a malfunction. costs were about 100 EUR (~150$)

that is because its a format on the disc that the player cant read.

@pillefreeride: no, the slot is empty. there's no disc inside. a sensor was damaged.
