remeber when vulcan raven said to snake at mgs1 "your path is diferrent,the path you walk has no end,NO MATTER HOW MANY CORPSES YOU CRAWL OVER,THE KILLING,will never stop.......HEAR ME SNAKE!!!!111 MY SPiRiT will be wacthing yoouu......"
hes trying to say that "the killing will never stop" is that people will always replay mgs games! :D....lol

In the orignal ending, Kojima planned Snake and Otacon to turn themselves in for their previous crimes, and be executed. However the team working on MGS4 didn't like this idea and pretty much made it into what it is today :P
