Wow you wrote that in a meter?!?!?! lol

I admire your patience, it must have been a beast to transcribe.

Well after several listens I "get" it now.. A brilliant work, my friend!

keep it up, and don't let those who don't take time for a 2nd or 3rd listen discourage you (in my opinion - atonal music requires more listens to "get it)

I find similarities here to the works of Edgar Varese. By any chance are you familiar with his compositions? I am not sure I could do justice to this, but I sure would like to try - as a bass bonist I am open to any challenge.

Call me Merrill-Mr. Clark was my father.

All questions about performance should be directed to Mr. Amrein. I am only the composer.

I will mention that on the other posting-'second performance'-he recommends starting slowly and increasing the tempo gradually-

always good advice on any instrument.

    Hey srorasco,

How is the piece working for you ?

There is no key signature because that would have created a need for more accidentals.

    The gravitational center is G.

In the first statement of the conjoined themes (in bar 3) it's in G lydian/diminished- (a lydian tetrachord combined with a diminished tetrachord) or an E melodic minor ascending scale beginning on G.

In the recap (bar 67) it is in the mirror image of that scale-G diminished/Lydian-(so called

    'jazz dominant').

    best

    MC
