@MelanyBlackDH He's suggesting that one has to be english to understand the first line or moreso that one must understand english dialect/pronunciation . That would advocate that he thinks that they are english which they are not.

@calmcyco cussing a storm doesn't mean she's literally swearing at the rain. it just means she's swearing cuz she's drunk and belligerent. i think the character is aware of the fact that his lover is a flawed human being. that's the point of the song, you're a wasp nest.
