@upchurch231 Well I'm not stupid; I have a college degree, and I studied, pondered and prayed and asked a lot of questions before even considering joining the Mormon church. I used to be like you--I didn't care about religion, didn't understand it. But the LDS church has The Book of Mormon and other scripture and latter-day revelation that helps shed light on the difficult-to-understand passages in the Bible. It really does help make sense of it all!

I mean I do not know you so I can't say you are crazy but the more I read into Mormanism, and any religion for that matter, I don't get how people can believe stuff that has no validity to it. There is no logic behind the belief. I don't think religious people (mormans or any religion) are stupid so the only plausible explination I can come up with is Insanity. The more I learn about religion the more It cements the fact that I am an Atheist.

That's why I like the Mormon church, because we have The Book of Mormon and other latter-day revelation that helps shed light on the difficult-to-understand passages in the Bible. It really does help make sense of it all. I grew up Episcopalian but never cared about God or religion or anything. I joined the LDS church in my 20's, about 30 years ago. I brings you closer to Jesus Christ and the Bible than any other church!

@gurumagoo What a thing to say! I'm a convert to the Mormon church and I know there are many things written and said about us that are twisted, distorted, and just plain false. I read all this stuff over 30 years ago when I was first investigating the church! I took the time to learn the TRUTH. I wish others would as well! The LDS church has the fulness of the gospel and will bring you closer to Jesus Christ and the Bible than any other church!

Anybody who believes in God is insane. I have come to this conclusion because I don't understand how people can believe in something that has no proof to it. Also in the Bible there are many discrepancies. The Bible is constantly contradicting itself. I just don't get how people can believe that nonsense. As far as Mormans they are just flat out crazy. Now you're just being pedantic. "Closer" is irrelevant. Even if you follow every commandment to the letter, without belief in Christ, you can not receive grace or salvation. The commandments are irrelevant without first accepting Christ.

So, your argument that nations are "accidentally following the commandments" and are in receipt of Grace is completely bogus.
