@EdJGy This was the first film in which Dracula used the alias Alucard (Dracula backward) this was the first time it was done. At the time it was considered clever.

@jasonfrank20 I prefer to see it as they always THINK they kill him at the end. At the start of each Hammer film you see how he really survived.

@jbthejellybean Alucard IS Dracula. Alucard = Dracula backward. Not once in the actual film do they call him the son. It's just the title the distributor went with. This was originally going to be called "Return of Dracula" or something like that but they saw how successful Daughter of Dracula was.

@crazystein65 You know Alucard is Dracula spelt backward, right? It's meant to be Dracula himself in disguise. it's only called Son of Dracula because of the success of Dracula's daughter.

@MsDurza Actually that IS Dracula himself. They only went with the "Son of Dracula" title because of the success of Dracula's daughter. Not once in the entire film do they say he's Dracula's son.
