Veganpotter...doing a flying 700m at the Pettit National Ice Center

This is the only video(on my camera) of me skating this trip. Andy can't chew gum and walk at the same time so I'm lucky that he can even stand on skates and "only" shake the camera this much;)

***If you look at my video from a month ago I'm skating CONSIDERABLY faster, lower and smoother. I've still got a long way to go but I'm definitely doing things right and progressing!!! I hope to meet in the middle from where I am in this video to where I'm supposed to be the next time I skate on my long trip to Calgary!!! Many people have told me that I can really do this big if I keep going. I've obviously got the power but I need to learn to put it in the ice. Its tricky though. Pushing harder with bad timing actually makes you slower so hard work isn't always rewarded with speed and I'm up for the challenge of figuring this thing out!!!
