The Legend of Zelda (NES) - Blue Ring in 10 minutes:

To do this you need to buy or find some Bombs. Go west from the start screen and bomb the wall. Save your progress by pressing Up+A on the second controller in the Inventory Screen.

Load your savegame, and go west from the start. Enter the Room you just found and pay 10 Rupies. Have some luck and get your Rupies!

Save your progress when you're lucky, reset the game when you don't.

Repeat this till you got 250 Rupies and move on to the hidden Shop. Buy the Blue Ring with all your Rupies and save your progress.

Now get ready for the easiest The Legend of Zelda ever ;)

That is interesting, but you can probably earn the 250 rather quickly w/o abusing saved games if you grab the white sword asap. Getting the "wooden" boomerang would help too, but obviously you'd have to enter Dungeon 1.
