"A mysterious power cut in Auckland city strands Ellie, her sister Alisha, Alisha's boyfriend Daniel and Ellie's friend Michael at one of their houses in the suburbs. When a large number of socks start turning up around the place things start to get weird. They notice there is nobody else around, almost like they are the only people in the city. When a small creature, Bootie, made entirely out of socks then turns up at their house things go from weird to absolutely ridiculous. Richard, their strange neighbor turns up and tells them they are some of the last humans left in the city, and that they are being invaded by a race from another dimension; a race of sock mutants lead by an evil creation; King Darning.

It is up to Ellie and her friends to find the problem, stop Darning, stay alive and save the city all before morning dawns and Earth is conquered by sock mutants"
