Congratulations sistergreeks.
Ignore the detractors and haters. What's done AFTER one crosses is far more important than what is done to become a member. There are plenty of members who pledged hard, but they don't contribute anything to their organizations, which makes me question why they joined in the first place.
Nobody has control over how he/she joined. Judge a member by his/her hard work and dedication to the brotherhood/sisterhood because in the end that is all that matters.

As I have told people before: be careful how you treat that so-called "paper" member because one day you just might need him/her.

I appreciate it. Oftentimes, many of us greeks do not see the bigger picture because our vision is clouded by maintaining chapter "traditions" and "reputation." There is very little unity, and we now have fraternities within fraternities and sororities within sororities. There will NEVER be unity because our selfish, personal agendas will prevent it.

@suaved u are so right, took the words right out my mouth. Greeks nowadays are so obsessed with how much wood someone took while being on line that they tend 2 4get that as long as an org has unity, ACTUALLY DO COMMUNITY SERVICE and know their history that all that hazing crap doesn't matter after high school. I'm a non-greek but i have friends who pledged orgs and the nonsense they say abt how they deserve respect 4rm their yard just bc they got their ass beat is beyond me.
