  • And what that soundtrack sounds on a background?

  • Looking for more on Earp and Holliday. I tend to favor their side of things but I may be led by the movie and legend. Was he really no better or worse than "The Cowboys?" I get the impression his chief concern might be to keep the place safe enough to strip the Tombstone people of their money at his faro table without equals. Now, what did the cowboys do?

  • @pastorphil8500 ...right for what they did. So let's start doing real historical research instead of trying to sell a program and make a buck off such innacurate nonsense as "Wyatt Earp: Not the the Man We Thought He Was!" bull crap!

  • @pastorphil8500 and known to be good shots. I would've done the same thing if I were Wyatt and somebody was threatening by family...so let's really leave history to the hands of those that were there,...not everyone liked the Earps (these were sided with the cowboy faction via the business they generated - documented fact!) for what they did, granted,...but there are scores of testimony that shed light on the fact (including Judge Spicer's decision) that the Earp's and Holliday were in the...

  • @pastorphil8500 - Yes, the Earp's weren't perfect, either, we all get that...and we all know Doc was not the most likeable fella, even if Wyatt took a liking to him...but, let's not try to vindicate the cowboys...they made all kinds of threats and back then, threats had to be dealt with - with the gun, unfortunately,...and you had to be good if you found yourself and the end of another desperado's barrel,..fact is, the Clanton's and McLaury's were known killers, part of a killer gang..

  • @pastorphil8500 - It was kill first and fast - or be killed. If you found yourself in a scrape with the vilest and most desperate of characters, you had to be fast, accurate and deliberate, all the while cool and courageous. We just really don't get it. I get tired of hearing history getting rewritten with a 21st century perspective. Wyatt Earp and his brothers couldn't leave it up to Behan, he was a crook as crooks come, basically bought by the Clantons and the McLaury's.

  • Understandably, the world that we live in today couldn't possibly understand what it must have been like to be a peace officer in those days. It seems like modern historians would like to rewrite history with this era as others. Nobody who knows anything about lawmen or Wyatt Earp, the Earp brothers, Doc Holliday or the Vendetta Ride, would dare say that anybody back then was flawless.
