its really easy adding the signs in post production with a proces called motion traking you just track te movement of the camera and then you replace the signs and the will stay in place, then you recreate the light conditions like a phtomontage in photoshop and thats it, sounds dificult but its not.

makes me wish doug didn't have to tear his canada house down...
if you like his work and you haven't seen it, checkout "souvenirs of canada", it is great and pure Coupland.
It reminds me so much of everything i love about Canada.
It would be cool to see these clever and quirky gum thief short films projected on walls of stationary as a video installation piece for a gallery

Not sure ,but the most logical way to create this seems to be the text was added during editing, the signs were never up as filming was being done, they said whatever, all this was added after the fact. again 5* creative and unique
