i am deciding between the 7D and Mark II. i need something for concert photography and portraits. i do photojournalism and american football too, but not as much. 7D has amazing 8 fps and more focusing points while the 5D has the full frame and better quality at high ISO settings. Ideally i would buy the new mark III because it has the best of both, but i dont have the money and seeing as the Mark II price will drop... any advice?

Why would anyone compare the IQ between the 7D & the 5D? Features I can understand, but even that is comparing new design to old design. Why stop there? Why not compare a G10 to a 1D? Fail!

@metronomic1 Repeating your error doesn't make it right. As I corrected you before - 5D is not antiquated and is worth the price. I guess you're the McDonald's of "photography" since your "clients" don't know the difference. Keep serving those big macs.

@ThePrivateJoker Like I said the 5DMKII is antiquated on not worth the price. If you like it good for you. In the end the client cant tell any difference which is really what matters for a pro. I'm not in the business of reviewing cameras, I am in the business of supplying a product to my clients.

@AlbinasLove check out the new generation of canon and nikon coming out now, the new sensors will be more advanced - otherwise from the current/older generation, the 5D leads the pack.

You should try to label the ISO or Aperture etc, on the photos. ;)
