I wouldn't say MUCH better, but it also depends on if youre hearing the original mono single version or the stereo mix, missing his 2nd vocal overdub!

I gotta disagree!!! I still like your original (not that there's anything wrong with this version). But i admit i thought the tuba was a little weird (that is a tuba, right?).

I dunno' Trade. I believe yours came out when I was a senior in '63, maybe it came out in '62; regardless, when this version came out I was overseas and this is the first time I've heard it. Your version reminds me of Nola Lee S back in '61. Yep, this song is soooo true. There's always that one flame that just will never go out (sigh).
