Although you may try to warn others, the reality is some people will never take preventative action even when they are staring crisis in the face.

@hotchicksandpuppies I am a fair minded person and find that generalizing blame does no one good, I would not want someone to blame me for slavery or slaughter of native Americans because I am white because not all white people have blame. I would remind you since Christianity had not become a stated religion at the time that Jesus was indeed Jewish as he taught in the temples of the time and was called rabbi. Jesus Christ wasn't a Jew or a Christian or a Muslim it was God. Jews seem to love money. Christians and Muslims seem to hate money we just want a share system. Where we all go work at the farm and share the wealth. Christians and Muslims have no right to "kill the jews" we have every right to end the monetary system as a whole. Jesus Christ promoted the share system.

This is not about naming a scapegoat. This is true about the whole debt process, but you will see more scapegoating of groups that are from the outside the mainstream in America as well. Muslims and undocumented workers will be placed in private prisons or camps, because it is what our country does. They interned Japanese Americans during the war. Why would they not use the same bargaining chip to incite anger? It is also designed to label people who oppose the government.

If only your words could reach everyone. I'm prepared for the worst, all the way down to my attitude, but get strange looks from friends if I suggest having two weeks worth of water & food, plus alternative heat and cooking methods for a power outage during an ice storm. You have to be prepared as far as possible, but also be prepared for ill-prepared neighbors and family, and be prepared to survive if separated from your cache of goods by "well meaning" martial laws.

Most of the people around here are pretty resourceful and many have been quietly doing the same as me..about 1/2 of my neighbors and i have had this discussion...we are pepared to work together...cities ...well id hate to be in one...

You will be okay then. The hardest thing to me is what if a family with kids is hungry? Would the parents try to kill you to feed their family? What if you simply don't have enough? Can you watch kids starve like stray dogs? That may happen. Elderly women dying of starvation in the gutter. This is not something we pampered americans have ever been prepared psychologically for. People run to the shrink because mommy didn't love them enough are they strong enough for this?

That is why the teaparty is getting the racist label. Some are actual libertarians who are ok and a lot of them are old white people who don't understand how people with naturall brown skin can have gotten positions of power. Like how they always talked about the Obama/Pelosi agenda like there was no Joe Biden. Hey people white guy in the 2nd position!! The nazis party were facists which means the combining of the corpororate/industrial & the state. You either get a business power elite (facism) or you get some weird "power to the people" communist crap that never works out because all the power goes to the communist party members who then become the government power elite.
