Alex Cabrera hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth
inning, lifting Orix to its third straight win with a walkoff victory
over Chunichi.
Trailing 3-2, pinch-hitter Shinji Shimoyama had a leadoff single
and Cabrera followed with a drive off Chunichi closer Hitoki Iwase
(1-2) over the left-field wall at Kyocera Dome.
Kazuya Motoyanagi (2-3) pitched two scoreless innings in relief.
Mitsutaka Goto and Tuffy Rhodes each hit solo homers off Chunichi ace
Kenshin Kawakami, who allowed two runs and four hits in six innings.

The Braves met with representatives for Japanese pitcher Kenshin Kawakami during last week's winter meetings.
"We had a very productive conversation with the Braves during the Winter Meetings," said Kawakamis agent Dan Evans. "They made a very solid presentation and (Braves GM) Frank Wren demonstrated a very good feel for Japanese baseball. That won some points [with Kawakami]." The 33-year-old is thought to be seeking a contract around three years, $21 million.

Because I like the balance.
Before this game, the Buffaloes already beat the Dragons twice and were leading 2-0 in head to head.
So I was hoping Chunichi will win the next 2 games to record 2-2 but Orix ruined it with this victory and that pissed me off :(

Cabrera is definitely the real deal for Orix.
With him and Tuffy Rhodes online for them, the Buffaloes are boosted in their batting line-up.
A real loss for Seibu in losing him.
However, I was hoping Chunichi will win this particular game and this sayonara homer didnt please me that day :(
