69 turbo 2007 cc stroker widebody

Fully built 2 liter motor with garret gt25 turbo and side draft webber with built trans first fire up after 5 months in the shop. Car also has porsche wheels and gti seats as well as hid's.

This car drove very well. Boosted very early and the lengthed gears of the super beetle tranny helped it rev out a lot. Under 100 mph was way faster round the bends than my old 993 turbo. I sold this car too a friend who know put new interier in it and painted it red. It has Independent (irs) rear end on it so it handles better than with the old swing axle. The widened track certainly helps alot over a standard beetle with 4.5 or 5.5 inch wide wheels.

Craizygolf1980 it depends if u use used parts. I got in dollars the boxster wheels for 500 dollars (US) but most of my engine and suspension parts like the bilsteins were all new. I have probably seven eight grand into the engine and a few thousand in suspension and brakes the gti seats I got from a mark three I used to have so those were free. I am at least 10 large into this one. I had shops do a lot of the motor work so that certainly added to the bottom line. If u do it a ll urself not sure?

Thanks james. It makes good power...not as good as your twin turb rotary but I have seen off one carrera already with half throttle....due to new motor. I think the engle fk8 cam gives it more character. Now it just needs paint... Your car has nice new porsche silver paint and bags. Everyone know bags get bitches.... I was thinking of painting my car that same color or a gunmetal grey.

Damn, that sounds soooo baddass with the lope from the cam and the whine from the turbo. I see we have the same year VW's, nice.
