all those PCs are crap. Get an XPS or a macbook pro. They are the best laptops out there. They know nothing about computers. They didnt research the laptop. If i were buying a laptop then i would research. Plus, these actors are stupid. If i had 2000 bux, i would get myself a macbook pro or an alienware. I got a dell studio xps 16 and im pretty happy with it. Its a mac substitute and not a bad one. these ads are supid

the new alienwares are pretty pricey. Well the laptop ones anyways. I could shell out some money for the new auroras. But my dell xps 16 is great when its playing games. Too bad the battery blows chunks. but for 1300 bucks its great. Crysis runs great on very high and good res. The point is that if these people were buying a laptop, then they would have done some sort of research. I wouldnt walk into a store and just pick whatever looks nice. 1500 bucks can get you better stuff than a vaio.

How can you say the Vaio FW is crap but the XPS 16 is great? They both cost around the same price for an equal spec system.
The XPS 16 is a nice laptop, but so is the Vaio FW. And for the $999 they spent on that Vaio I can't think of another laptop that would have been better for them.

As for the Macbook, it would have cost $1999 for an equal spec Macbook pro, double the price for the same spec system, only a fool would consider that.

Ya but who wants to go upgrade hardware in their computer every few months?? The answer, people with nothing better to do. Typing this from a 3 year old macbook btw. I've never done a goddamn thing to it either. Never defragged or any of that BS. So, if you're a nerd who actually likes all that crap, get a PC. If you're like the rest of us who've actually seen female genitalia in real life, get a Mac.

If you don't know the difference between the OEM parts and the 3rd party licensed ones, you're missing out. Understanding price vs performance is key to building a good computer regardless of the budget. Shelling out whatever the store tells you to, is not.

Examples:
Mac Pro's OEM Radeon HD 4870 w/512MB VRAM: $200

XFX Radeon HD 4870 w/1 GB VRAM: $150

Apple RAID card: $700 (ARE YOU KIDDING?!!)

MacPro: 1TB HDD: $100

MacPro: additional 1TB HDDs: $300/ea (WHY?!!)

Not to mention the $200 for the HD 4870 from Apple is an upgrade from a GT 120. It's supposed to represent the price difference between a GeForce GT 120, which is included in the price, and a Radeon HD 4870. Same with the 1TB HDD, it's an upgrade from a 640GB. What they are implying is that a 640GB HDD cost $200!!

I was referring to people who require powerful systems, engineers, scientists, designers, people who enjoy gaming on their PC etc. If you haven't defragged your Macbook in 3 years you obviously don't need a performance system. Why would anyone waste over $1000 on a Mac when a $400 PC would do the same job? You'd have to be completely retarded.
