I could'nt find any instructions on how to install a Power Saver 1200, so it seemed a good idea to create a set of YouTube info tutorials, to get the job done.

Here we'll start by getting a realistic perspective on whats really involved in deciding to go green.

I strongly recommend everyone watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSWf9CdCQDY

  • All it achieves is power factor correction.

Most power companies bill by the kilowatt-hour,

and not the Kilovolt-ampere=hour, so it will save little on your bill. It can be an advantage on the utility side, by cutting the I-squared-R losses across the distribution grid, though.

The author keeps mentioning "kilowatts per month".

Sorry, there is no such thing.

Lack of education, combined with limited knowledge, is dangerous, when you're playing with electricity.

  • Why does my meter turn slower after turning on the device?

If you watch my videos. I clearly say I'm not an electrician, if I say kilowatts per month. I stand corrected kilowatts per hour per month.

    That all you got?

Your talking about something when broken into its fundamental components consists of only two parts, positive & negative, how hard is that?

People like you would have people like me, think we can't do anything. I say that's not true. I say, anyone can do anything.

  • Thanks for the in depth perspective, very detailed.

I've been waiting for a tutorial as comprehensive as this.

I noticed this is your 1st upload.

Keep up the good work, I'll keep an out for more.

Also I was wondering does this need to be installed by a licensed electrician?

If so how much will that run?

  • Only if your not the owner of the property.

If you do use a licensed electrician, I would'nt pay any more than $150.00 an hour, and would'nt expect it to take more than an hour.

  • This guy is NUTS. I'm suprized he's not been electrocuted yet.

  • You just yacked for ten minutes while showing nothing more than a box sitting on a table.!!

Great comments, excellent in fact with the layman's viewpoint all about the wind and solar and you also have excellent verbal diarrhea. BUT instead of showing a package and delivery box, you could have had the camera filming your electric meeter just turning away going round and round and round and around and around while you yabber on and on..

  • Well .. after 9:56 of a guy talking nonstop while being forced to watch what is apparently a static picture (not video .. I mean, I would have thought it was an actual video shot if something exciting like a cat jumping on the table .. SOMETHING!!) of a box. Just a brown box. With a label on it. My head exploded at 4:37. I can't WAIT to watch part 2!

  • what the hell is this idiot yaking about? This guys is so clueless it's crazy.

I heard of this device, and being an electrician I am curious about it, which is why I am looking on info for this product. This guy is a 'tard for sure, and is trying to explain how it works by crap he has learned from youtube....

  • Smart people are so dumb. Speed it up. Get to the point!

  • really a video of a fucking box?
