Facial motion test of Affetto, which is an child robot that is currently under development in emergent robotics laboratory at Osaka university for simulating infant cognitive development. Its face is created realistically so as to be treated as a human being by human caregivers, not as a robot. For more information, please contact projectaffetto@gmail.com.

  • interesting video and very informative

  • The number of dislikes proves that the uncanny valley is still in strong effect.

  • Aww I want it <3

  • I think it's cute...

  • @TomatoSpud5 You're one of the few, then.

  • It's cute in a weird sort of way...

  • A robot baby seems much more appealing, and easier to make adorable.

Besides the facial and mouth movement... what will be its visual and hearing centers?

  • It's like a decapitated head that is STILL ALIVE.

    And the EYES. GEEZUS
