  • "Goody. You are supposed to fix me with a steady, manly stare; not snivle like a frenchman who's caught his baguette in his bicycle spokes."

  • hehe :)

    "I can't help it! You're being so mean!" :P

  • LOL @ goody!!!

  • I know. XD

He's my favourite in the sitcom. James Dreyfus is great.

  • This is so sadly typical of British television: Stupendously great shows that only last for about six or ten episodes.

  • Ok...From today onwards...I will call my girlfriend cabbage..

  • @yottskry12 Yep. US series usually run to 20+ episodes, so the rot can set in very quickly. Another advantange of our sitcoms, is it's usually only one, or two writers responsible, as opposed to a team of writers which is the norm for US sitcoms. Red Dwarf is a great example of not knowing when to bow out at the top, as series 7 & 8 paled in comparison to the previous six. But Thin Blue Line had one more great series in it I feel. Shame the public at the time didn't take to it. :(

  • @AngelicStorm1 I agree. One more series would probably have been good, particularly as we keep our series very short at only 6 - 8 episodes, so it takes longer for that malaise to set in that plagues American series.

  • @yottskry12 Whilst what you're saying is very true, I think The Thin Blue Line had at least one more classic series in it. It was originally axed due to poor ratings, which I'll never understand, as it's one of our all time best comedies in my opinion. Perhaps only now, it's brilliance is truly being appreciated. Red Dwarf had 6 awesome series, before it started going downhill with Series 7, So a 3rd series of Thin Blue Line could have been, and probably would have been great. :(

  • ...strawberry lesbian"XDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • @yottskry12 Amen to that.

  • @ZaffireWolf That's the best thing about British sitcoms - we know when to stop. Our shows go out on a high with lots of great episodes. They don't go on and on forever with lots of rubbish and only a couple of decent episodes like American sitcoms do.

Dinnerladies, Black Books, Father Ted, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, The Thin Blue Line - all examples of shows that knew when to call it a day.

  • I doubt whether Goody would get it if it came in a large bag marked 'IT!'

  • runny jumpy thing ..... doing her naanaa ....... goody

  • local pornographer lmfao
