I'm thinking about going to Royal Military College in kingston and become an officer in the army, but i also want to join regular forces. If i become an officer, would it be a sit down at a desk sort of job? And would it be better to go regular forces before going to RMC?

@chippy506 As an officer in the Candian Forces, your duties are dependant on your trade. Please visit Forces.ca and browse the job list. For information on the qualifications for officer status please see the website below:

You may join the Forces before pursuing an education at RMC; however, becoming a direct entry officer does require a 3-year bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

@qetuoadgjl3 dude you are weak, you are a perfect candidate for a boyscout. Don't dissed about the leadership of the Canadian Forces they have more respect than you can ever imagine. Some of these instructor in the video had been in Afghanistan, if you haven't then STFU

@qetuoadgjl3 I can see at least 2 others told you why they yell and swear so I will keep this short and add one more thing. As u may have read before, yelling is a source of encouragement (odd isn't it?). What I never heard the Canadian Military do is call a soldier a name like the U.S. military (Maget, Negro, Niger, etc.). So believe it or not, the CF is very soft. When they get out of Basic, they will get more respect. The air force is also teated beter than the army. I forget why though.

@qetuoadgjl3 Ashamed of himself? Are you serious???? Do you know of any military that baby-sits their soldiers? I would not want to join a military without constant yelling, swearing, and extremely stressful conditions, honestly. This training is what keeps you alive and effective.
