A shot of the gages in my 2009 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab LTZ 4x4 Z71 with the 6.2L 403 hp V-8. Floored it from rest to fuel cutoff. 0-100mph. It was well below zero outside.

  • If you turn on your hazard lights then it turns off the fuel cut off so you can go faster...just thought id tell ya

  • @MrLilRichard

    Good to know:)

  • Why does it have a fuel shutoff?

  • @kdw75

They all do man. GM has had a 100 mph fuel cutoff on trucks for a long time. I had a 1995 Silverado and a 1996 Sierra as well as a 2003 Sierra and all cutoff at 100 mph.

  • wtf my homeboi got the same 2009 and its a 5.3 with a borla dual exost with 20in ss rims and it runs faster then dis 1

  • @2000chevy4x4 I know what it may be i have had an electric supercharger 5 psi vortex put in and it has been tuned for speed/horsepower...and had the emisions thing taken off so that i could eventually run smoke stacks once i get my lift and 36s and somewhere during the tuning it may have been removed ill have to ask my machanic...then ill get back to you..

  • @MrLilRichard i've tried that in my '00 1500 silverado and it still just it off at 97 mph so i dont know if that means anything since these are totally different trucks

  • @wranglersnmt Sucks don't it. We've had GM trucks for a long time and they all shut off at 100ish. And they always have so much more they could go too! This truck should take you clear up to the 130-140 range at least.

  • @boar22 more like:

guy "thanks for visiting firebird international raceway, heres your time slip"

me: *reviewing 0-60mph* not bad for bolt ons!

  • @wranglersnmt on no I have the 0-60, 1/4 mile, etc. given I also have a full true dual exhaust, cold air intake, and rpm limiter set to 6K, im runnin, well was runnin around 7 sec 0-60. im just sayin at 403hp I thought it would be a little quicker. LS based engines respond really well to upgrades though. that truck was totaled last dec. by a drunk driver though.

  • @wranglersnmt idk bout the 95 i have one and ive had it up to 112 no mods

  • dats all it go`s 2 95miles n it topps out i got a ford lightning 2004 svt took the supercharger out n put 2 turbos its a fukin beast n it doesnt top out at 95 chevy sucks

  • Yup chev has run the same tranny sine 1991 to this day just with slight differences.

  • i would have expected it to be faster
