Outsourced: Silicon Valley Students in India Part 2

Named Best Feature Story by the Associated Press, "Outsourced: Silicon Valley Students in India" examines the connections between the Bay Area and what is now known as Silicon Valley East .




From touring Cisco Systems and call centers to spending time in slums with street children, Part 2 provides a unique perspective of India's dichotomy and wealth gap through the eyes of 25 Silicon Valley High School Students.

Always looking for a unique story to tell, Julie jumped at the chance to chaperone a group of students from Archbishop Mitty High School (Julie's Alma Mater) on an immersion trip to India.

In the age of small news budgets, this was yet another passion piece produced while on "vacation". Equipped with her station issued MMJ gear, (minus the tri-pod - long story) Julie shot, edited and produced the award winning two part series.
