Dual head beryl using my laptop and an external 21" syncmaster.
GFX: Intel x3100 given 256mb of vram
1680x1050+1280x800
Using the last version of beryl (i _do not like_ compiz-fusion. it sucks.)
Powered by Gentoo Linux (x86_64)
This is a draft video, because I wanted to show something. I will upload a proper one really soon, and propably another one rotating the beryl cube using the touchscreen from the tablet pc :p (the one you see in the vid)
PS: from where i see the cube, it's not broken (when half on the one screen and half on the other)
How much frames per second do you get with your X3100 running Beryl?

Unfortunately, after upgrading to gnome 2.20, beryl stopped working. so i removed it. after some days i removed gnome also. now i run xfce4 with compizfusion. benchmarking with this configuration, i get:
normal 1head (laptop)
idling: ~160fps
rotating the cube: ~45fps
dual head (laptop + external)
idling: ~65fps
rotating the two cubes (1/screen): ~25fps
having snow floating on both screens: ~20fps
writing with fire on the screen: ~10fps
combining the two above: ~6fps

I didn't have the chance to test water effect with neither beryl nor compizfusion, due to intel's flaky driver. but it seemed to be fast.
