Dragon Spirit - arcade vertical shooter - 1987

This is automatic demo sequences. As always, the actual in game play does have background music. Dragon Spirit is a 1987 vertical scrolling shoot 'em up arcades game released by Namco. It runs on Namco System 1 hardware, and was later ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System, Amstrad CPC, Commodore Amiga, Commodore 64, Atari ST, Sharp X68000, TurboGrafx-16 and ZX Spectrum platforms. The TurboGrafx-16 / PC Engine version retained most of the original arcade graphics and sound quality. A Turbo Grafx-16 version of the game is now available for play on Nintendo Wii Virtual Console.

I have to prefer the NES version to this because it was more.....In depth and had cut scenes. The arcade version was good just super cheap. The sequel should have got a console released stateside (Sequel was on the PC engine aka TurboGrafx 16). the music in the sequel is amazingly HQ,unlike the arcade original.

Considering the plot with the Serpent Demon and the solider turning himself into a dragon into order to rescue the kidnapped princess, I think it would have been cool if the arcade demo had mentioned it to some extent.

The Dragon Saber arcade game emulation did not work out, the sounds were garbled. So I did a video for the only other Dragon Saber release, it's for PC Engine console.
