I think it's stupid that you're limited on the number of instruments/effects/inputs/out
puts you can have on the lower priced versions, it's a con to get you to buy the really expensive versions. How am I supposed to make music with only 4 instrument tracks and 6 fx slots? It's ridiculous.

@sontwisted I dumped Ableton and went with Cubase 5 Essentials. It is their starter for version 5 and kicks the crap out of the Abelton gelding version that accompanies the LP. And they actually respond to technical queries real quickly. Not once have I had to wait more than a day to have them already in a chat and providing solutions. Really good customer service. I am in the serice industry myself and appreciate their attention to it. When I spend dollars it will be with Steinberg.

@Booger6995 i cant get 2 tracks to play in sync and it crashes randomly have not heard back from support yet I'm ready to give up on this software and move on
-
@circa9993 thats for the suite edition, producer edition i wouldnt mind having, 300 buck upgrade price though
-
full version alone is 500 and the upgrade is 400. such a big difference...

@AtomicJimmyMack I went with Cubase. They actually respond when a customer has a question. Good technical support. And the basic version gets me everything that I will ever need. This is not a pro endeavor just a hobby.
-
@Booger6995 That is insane. I have taught myself at least half a dozen DAWs and Ableton is the most fun and easiest to use of them all; by far...
-
@tdwp1992 ive been using lte for awhile, if you actually do your homework instead of complaining on youtube vidoes you can do alot with what you work with in lite.
-
If im paying 279 or 379 dollars I would expect to be getting more than a freed up version of what I already have. I will never be able to afford suite so is there really a point in upgrading to the full when all it is is lite without limitations?
-
@tdwp1992 I don't understand the word con in this context
-
i have a question...
ive got ableton suite 7, and my finished songs are really quiet...
i don´t know why, i hope you can help me ;)
Right now after having so many problems with the Lite version that comes with the Launchpad I don't think wasting more money will help. Until I can get someone from Ableton to even answer a simple question it looks like the product tech support is non existent. I have as of yet not even been able to record 2 tracks into the same set. . Whenever you try to use a VST it either won't work or the program just out and out crashes. The first thing would be a down loadable manual that you can print.

can you warp in intro?

@djbeatjerky804 yes, you can Warp in Live Intro. The "Complex" and "Complex Pro" modes only come with Live 8 or Suite 8, however.
