I liked the prism analogy for having pure motives, it was thought provoking. (I think I got what you were saying.) Our having pure motives allows Christ to shine through our lives without hindrance, but when we are motivated by our own desires/glorification, we are basically flitting around without any clear direction, and Christ may be seen in our lives, but his glory is not overwhelmingly apparent, as it is with those that are totally devoted...
