Thanks for posting in its entirety! I can't begin to describe my frustrations at having encountered so many hacked up versions of this song.

Does anyone know exactly how they made the sound at 5:21? It sounds like it has something to do with a leslie speaker...

Hey, I was close. The references are obscure, but they are the underlying basis for the entire song.

Good try, but no. Actually, Setebos was the god of Sycorax; he was a Patagonian god. Patagons were a fictional race of giants thought to dwell in the land of Patagonia, a myth originally espoused by Magellan.

Even knowing the Tempest, (as I already did), I submit that the line "Watched by Sycorax and patagons in parallax" is still nonsensical on it's face.

Crumplepunch, Sycorax is the mother of Caliban, and Patagon, as I vaguely recall, is a god worshipped by Sycorax, all from Shakespeare's play The Tempest. The Island is Caliban's creche, and is watched over by powerful, malevolant, magical forces - which the sailors realize, but all too late.

Timeline of thought: 0.01 Holy shit this is amazing, don't fuck it up. 1.58 Aw, they changed it... 3.41 Okay, actually, this is even better. 4.48 I know what patagons are, and I know what parallax is. I still have no idea what this is supposed to mean. 6.16 This is EVEN BETTER. 7.02 Uh, is this song about rape? 8.40 IT IS. 9.09 I guess it's a sad song now? 9.46 Wait, is he sad that he killed the girl he raped, or is this a different song? 12.22 That was almost as sweet as it was confusing.
