I think using the Spyder name on a car such as this is generic. That name has been used across many other Porsches (currently on the Boxter series.) Just calling it 918 Hybrid would be enough.

Electric engines are a false economy.....pointless waste of time as they dont achieve anything....i mean, they are as bad as normal engines in the sense that the manufacturing process and refuelling STILL uses coal, oil and gas!!
Yea they dont emit CO2 but how do you think the electicity used to charge is produced?
Its not viable...the electric grids could not cope if everyone changed to electric cars

I want to know what this car sounds like, and I don't want to wait 5 years to find out.
Just to reiterate, that's a3.4L 500 hp V8 combined with and additional 200 hpower electrical drive.

Dear porsche, please build this car. And how about a non-hybrid version too?
Mechanicals aside, this car should be build based purely on design and aesthetics.

918 Spyder, hybrid combining 2 electrical engines that produce 210hp and a "traditional" V8 delivering 500hp (718hp when using the 3 engines together). With a consumption of 3L/100KM and less than 70g of CO² per KM. In my country I would have a reduction of 15% of its price because of his low consumption and emission of CO². Pretty amazing! And once again Porsche is ahead...
