*the next morning*
Nick came into the family room in the morning to find Gina was the only other person awake. [note: when I said they go upstairs, ignore that b/c they have an apartment and theres no stairs] he sat on the couch next to her with a package of strawberry poptarts. She took one and took a bite of it.
Nick: that was my poptart! Now I only have one
Gina: deal with it, there arent any poptarts in Japan
Nick: oh. *gives her the other one* make it last
Gina: thank you
Nick: *gets more and sits down again* what time is it?
Gina: *shrugs* maybe 8?
Nick: huh. Usually Kevin is up first.
Gina: he looked tired last night, let him sleep
Nick: oh, ok. So what are we watching?
Gina: Mama Mia. Its so cheesy and Sam cannot sing for his life. And did you know that they dont even tell you who the father is at the end? Thats cheap.
Nick: then why are you watching it?
Gina: *shrugs* why not?
Nick: wait, we dont even own this movie, whered you get it?
Gina: Blockbuster
Nick: right. *phone rings* do you mind if I answer this?
Gina: no, its your house.
Nick: *answers his cell phone* hello?
???: hi, its Mimah
Nick: *smiles* hey
Mimah: Im really sorry I had to cancel on the ice cream thing... do you want to get some today?
Nick: yeah, sure
Mimah: great. Ill see ya later. Bye Nick
Nick: bye, Mimah *hangs up*
Gina: ooh, Mimah, thats pretty. Who is she?
Nick: no one, just a friend.
Gina: *gives the youre-not-fooling-me look*
Nick: what?
Gina: so, are you meeting her somewhere?
Nick: were gonna get ice cream later
Gina: awe, you like her
Nick: no I dont
Gina: yes you do
Nick: no
Gina: yes
Nick: no
Gina: yes
Nick: so what?
Gina: nothing... *ruffles his curly locks* I just think its so cute!
Nick: *rolls his eyes*
Gina: so, Nick, tell me something about Kevin and Alli.
Nick: theyre really good friends, close, but Kevin is in l-
Kevin: *comes in* good morning
Nick & Gina: morning
Gina: Nick, why dont you go get the rest of the boys up now?
Nick: theyll get up eventually
Gina: *smacks his arm* go
Nick: fine, jeez *goes to wake them up*
Gina: come sit Kevin *pats the spot where Nick was*
Kevin: *sits down* did you sleep okay on the couch?
Gina: yes, it was very comfy. How was your sleep?
Kevin: pleasant, I guess.
Gina: thats great.
Kevin: yeah so... what was it-
Gina: ok lets cut to the chase Kev.
Kevin: what chase? Im not running, I dont enjoy it
Gina: you *pokes his nose*
Kevin: what about me?
Gina: what do you think of Alli?
Kevin: what are talking about? Shes my... really good friend.
Gina: Well, pretend Ive never met her, and you need to describe her to me so I could pick her out of a crowd, like a needle in a haystack almost.
Kevin: well, shes somewhat tall, and tough. Shes funny *laughs* and shes pulled some good pranks on Joe. *leans back and sighs with a smile* shes pretty, kind of beautiful. But I cant tell her that, shed beat me up. Shes only a year younger than me... I see past the tough tomboy act she puts on. Shes really a sweet person. Again, shed beat me up if I told her that. *laughs* Shes not so good at realistic art, ive got a portrait to prove it [note: remember the lovely cartoon picture Alli drew of Kevin in art class?] but pretty good at other art. Did you know she plays the drums? No, of course you didnt, you just met her. She eats like a guy, and plays video games like a guy, kinda like hanging out with a guy; I dont have to have manners, or not burp or something. Shes... different...
Gina: you seem to like her
Kevin: I do
Gina: I knew it!
Kevin: *snaps back* huh? Wait, what?
Gina: you, my friend, are in love and you cant help it.
