I'll compare the features of the Chris Reeve small sebenza 21 with the Rick Hinderer 3d generation small xm-18 in this knife review, part 1 of 4.

Both knives are excellent and the top of the bill for production knives. Very highly sought after for their quality, fit and finish, durability, functionality and great looks.
In this in depth table top review I'll try to compare most, if not all, features of these knives in detail, to give you a very good image of what these knives are and what they can do.
My intention is to compare these two knives so that you'll be able to see what they are good at, since they are 2 totally different knives. It's definitely not my intention to judge which one is better. They both perform excellently in certain types of use and are of very high quality in general.
Both knives are a real pleasure to have and to use! Enjoy the review, the table of contents follows.

  • great review, very interesting and informative, thx!

but!! after watching a few days trying to find something that I really liked on your Sebenzа-G-10 scales, but can't!

If this is not a huge secret, please tell me, I will not tell anyone else)!!

  • I can't help but hear a little bit of bias toward the Hinderer in this video which is fine, that's your opinion. It is my opinion that all these high end folders, Hinderer, Strider, etc. all are attempts to improve on the Sebenza, of course that could be my showing my bias. At any rate, there is Sebenza in all of them and that is a fact. I would like to point out that the Sebenza is not designed to have G10 scales whereas the Hinderer is, that's why the Hinderer's scales are done properly.

  • You mutilated the Sebbie!

  • A great video! You captured some interesting details with your close up shots. Nice to see and compare those excellent knives. Thank you.

  • Where do you get the G10 handles?? I have been looking all over

  • @xxmtgxx uhmmm, you sure about that? :) lol, thanks for the heads up.
