The original video has the last 2 or 3 kayakers coming through the slot, and as they come up to the group it begins to slide. The river breaks the dam within moments and the water surge isn't that big a deal. Very fortunate timing for all concerned!

Uhh, the water is going to be backing up behind that. They didn't wait to see it flood over the earthen dam? Did they stay there and take a break not realizing they might be downstream from a flash flood? :) Is that why there isn't extra footage? Incredible shot none the less.
