Here's a short test showing how the train horn switch panel in my old daily beater worked...
I wanted my main trigger switch to be the horn button on the wheel rather than a remote button in the case of a panic situation, but still wanted the ability to go back to the stock horn if needed...
Each red toggle switch arms a relay for either the stock horn, Hornblasters HB4H horns or Nathan Airchime K3HA horns...

  • i REALLY want some REALLY loud horns for my jeep. Hornblasters in my opinion is my best choice to get these horns. If i had the money i would go with the Nathan, but since money is tight im thinking about going with one of their HB4H kits. But im worried that the horns will not be that loud. For the basic hornblasters kits (HB4H) do you think that this will do the trick? Im really worried that i will be dissapointed. If you could give me some advice i would really appreciate it. Thanx.

  • Like I said before, go with whatever fits your budget and mounting space.

The HB4H's were my first set of horns and I still use them to this day on my golf cart.

Excellent horns for the money and downright deafening!!

    You won't be disappointed

  • I only have one question...do you recommend the Shocker horns as far as tone/loudness goes? I think they sound good. I have no room for a Nathan. Can the Shockers be heard from a mile or more away?

  • Go with whatever fits your budget and mounting space.

The Shockers (same as HB4H) are the best bang for the buck.

If you're out in the middle of nowhere, they can definitely be heard for well over a mile.

It's a different story if you're in the middle of a busy City though.

  • @98snakeeater ive noticed the Shocker S4 doesnt really have the "vibrating bass Feeling" to it like the HB4H does...

    is that true?

  • @RailsandRoads

The Shocker S4's and the HB4H's ae the same thing.

They just changed the name cause Shocker sounds better lol

  • genius

  • @thedonovan96 I've done that! I have a shocker S4 set up on my bicycle Trailer.

  • @irishcarbomb21 the HB4H horns are very very loud you will have a louder horn than fire trucks do. an 18 wheelers.

  • @irishcarbomb21 oh trust me it will be plenty loud i got the shocker classic an it really is the loudest horn in my county makes all the big trucks horns sound quite. an the HB4H is a bigger horn kit than the shocker. they just dont have that true train horn sound like the nathans thats why i want a nathan k5la so bad. but im stuck with a horn that kinda sounds like train. but it is a very loud horn so dont think its not loud cause when you blow it for the first time it will hit you so hard!

  • i'm ganna make one on my bike XD

  • OH YES! HAHAHAHA
