PLEASE WATCH MY NEW VIDEO ON MY CHANNEL WITH THE AQUARIUM SET UP AGAIN NOW THAT I'VE MADE MY RETURN FROM IRAQ! my 55 gallon bullhead tank. 2 power filters, bubbler and rocks i dug up from a creek bed near my house. 3 bullhead, 3 sunfish and i used to have crayfish but they all got eaten by the bullhead. they all get along very well and often the bullhead and sunfish swim with each other. PLEASE COMMENT! All these fish were released back into the wild 9 months ago as i had to deploy to iraq. I am back now and am re-establishing my aquarium with a sump tank and will be keeping a log of my progress.

  • what water u useing?? lake water or tap water? ur water clarity is very clear...i had 4 8inch channels but they died :( ur bullheads seem to be doin very well. what do i need to do to make sure native fish survive in my tank?

  • @Wabbit814 i use tap water but i ran the system for a couple weeks before i put the fish in to evaporate the chemicals. large wild fish like channel catfish need very large aquariums because they grow huge. bullhead don't exceed 11 - 12 inches so are much easier to maintain than larger catfish. other than that they are very hardy and don't require much effort

  • @doldrummer2004 THX MAN I APPRECIATE IT.. SO IF I FILL MY TANK UP AND LET IT SIT 2-3 WEEKS EVERYTHIGN SHOULD BE ALRIGHT? MAYBE DAT WAS MY MISTAKE B4..I ONLY LET IT FILTER A FEW DAYS. BOILED SOME ROCKS FROM MY CREEK AND PUT THEM IN TO GIVE IT THAT NATURAL LOOK..BUT I'LL TRY LETTIN IT SIT A FEW WEEKS AND TRY AGAIN.. U DIDNT PUT NOTHING ELSE IN THE TANK JUS PLAIN TAP WATER?

  • @Wabbit814 just tap water but you can put this conditioner in it called.....well hell i cant remember what its called but it breaks up the chlorine and everything ill have to get back with you on the name of it but it will kick start your aquarium and clean the toxins from the water that will help too

  • @Wabbit814 ok i remember now, its called prime you can buy it anywhere im sure but this is the best one i use it to this day

  • are they flat heads or channels

  • @doldrummer2004 yellow bullheads have white chin barbels. They look more like brown bullheads to me.

  • hey are those live plants or fake? i love the setup. i plan on turning my 55 gal into a native community once spring comes round.

  • I like this alot those cats are so lively!!

  • WHERED you get that bubbler i want one like that

  • hay just wondering if you know what type of bullhead that is :) thx

  • @Wabbit814 also use water purifiers that get rid of chlorine, chloramine, and slime coats liquids too..
