  • I have owned Pittbulls, Amstaffs, Bull terriers (my fav), Rottwielers and bull mastiffs, and they are the best natured dogs you could own, but people see me walking them and they run and make a big deal, My dogs would never hurt a human being (cats are a different story) I would like to find the owners who turn these beautiful animals in to raging psychos, Lube up the .410 shotty ram it up there bum holes and squeeze the trigger.

  • he loos like junior from dog whisperer!!

For the most part, yep. However, the Amstaff is recognized by the AKC and certain standards must be met for the dogs to consistently show well. To do so the gene pool has been kept smaller or intact as Amstaff owners won't crossbreed with others unless they don't give a shit. There are tons of pit mixes out there - you can find them in your local pound or here on YT. What some may call a pit may actually be a mix of several dogs.

  • There is no such animal as a blue nosed American Staffordshire terrier. Google the AKC site and look up the standards for the breed. The nose is to be black only.

People who own APBTs claim to have blue nosed pits and they are black nosed dogs. They use the term to differentiate them from those with red noses.

Amstaffs must have a black nose for the show ring. Anything else is pet quality.

It doesn't matter with the APBT.
