Researchers: 80 Percent of Oil Remains in Gulf

Researchers say as much as 80 percent of the oil from the spill remains in the Gulf. They warn that the Gulf of Mexico oil spill is a bigger mess than the government claims and that a lot of crude is lurking deep below the surface. (Aug. 17)

@MrGAB4444 - First off I live near the oil well in Pensacola. The Giant skimmer worked in theory, but testing showed it wasn't separating all of the oil from the water.

The president had nothing to do with this oil spill! BP chose to cut corners & now we ( The GULF) are paying the price.

This is bigger than democrats, republicans or you.

I'm so pissed with the current state of our country. Everybody is blaming each other instead of solving the problem.

Oil Pollution Act to take full charge (>TAKE FULL CHARGE<). If Barry responded as he was/is required by LAW and got that giant skimmer in there immediately and before the oil was dispersed, this would not be happening .
