Tsk tsk. Someone down below has no idea how to make a proper cuppa. Emily does it 100% correctly: you do *not* pour the milk in first. That idea goes back to times when porcelain was not strong enough to take boiling water. Pouring boiling water on top of milk will "scold" it, causing the fats to separate. Plus she is using a teabag - adding milk before the tea has brewed will lower the temperature of the water and hence take longer to brew. Some people do have strange ideas ;).

now, that's not the proper way to make English tea so I suppose it's just the point : ) 

English tea: steaming hot tea loose or bagged in water poured over milk = cuppa.
