Commissioned by the Wallace Foundation, this work is part of Stephen de Pledge's Landscape Prelude project. All 12 works in this series were performed for the first time at the New Zealand International Arts Festival on 27 February 2008.

John -enjoyed the work, but have you ever thought of  arranging this for string orchestra? I think it would translate well - although it may mean a bit of work for a viola section! :-)
