  • This car is very well taken care of, and after 1,5 years it still looks like brand new when cleaned and polished (polished 4 times a year). Engine oil changed twice as frequent as what the manual says.

What I don't get is why people would spend a lot of $ on a sporty car, and never use it as it is made for - and never experience the pure joy it can give you...?

  • I've been watching this twice a day for the past week, just to let you know, sir.

  • @arneTTselmer Exactly, German cars are made to be driven, and have the engineering to back it up.

  • this makes me excited for winter :)

  • I love this car. Very expensive fun xD

  • so awesome <3

  • @arneTTselmer yeah, you are right on that one.. my research was a bit sloppy there :-)

  • @meedic Thank you :-)

  • @meedic I don't think we disagree that much, but you really have to feel how things works there and then. Just one correction - the TTS 2.0 TFSI 272 bhp engine (which has the larger K04 turbo) don't reach max torque before 2500 rpm. It is the 200 bhp version (with the K03 turbo) that reach max torque at 1950 rpm :)

  • @arneTTselmer ah, and nice car by the way ;-)

  • @arneTTselmer well, when you drift in snowy conditions, not the torque is important but the speed of your wheels rotating. Besides that, the 2.0 TFSI TTS has its max. torque between 1950 and 5000 rpm. so if you use a higher gear, you could have the same speed of the wheels while having less rpm. as i said before, torque isnt that important, because the wheels have almost no drag to overcome.. if you were drifting on a normal street without snow, i would completely agree with you :)

  • @meedic It's hard (and not desirable) to get more speed in such a limited area, but I do agree with you if I had more space. Another thing is that this engine needs more than 2500 rpm (preferable 3000 - 5000 rpm) to be in the best torque and power band because of the turbo. Below 2500 rpm you experience turbo lag, which give you less control. I don't think we disagree too much anyway :-)
