Stupid post. You could grind up the debris and eat it and you'd get less radioactivity than what you get standing in the sun for 10 minutes, (or from your granite counter top inside, for that matter.
When the 'debris' wave, it'll be so spread out across so many thousands of miles of coastline over so many months/years, you'd be lucky to find one piece on any typical beach with plenty of beachcombing days.Learn something about radiation. You have overstated risk by a factor of 10 trillion.

yes the west coast beaches are toast but do you really think the police department has the physical or mental capacity to do anything about this? Seems probable that they are more comfortable with zip ties, silly clubs, and using their emergency lights to run red lights. i don't know.... i was thinking this is more of a job for the A-Team. I mean they have a big van right?

@mrnikoray I think it will fall to the citizens, environmental groups, surf clubs...they are the only ones that seem to care unless of course it affects TOURISM then maybe the local cities will get on the ball. Some municipalities in Canada are getting organized...so far in the US I havent heard much except for meetings/plans in the most preliminary of stages.
