I love Raymonds Books. Talwin Hawkins and Caleb alongside with Nakor are my favorite Characters... :D

I think a modern remake of this game could make a lot of money.

and it is quite sad that fiest never wrote owyn into anything else, although he wrote the bak story into later books, owyn never showed up. but i think the idea of owyn lives on in magnus.

i always found pug's first statement interesting. while it is true in a way, most playing the game at the time wouldn't have been aware that pug had killed hundreds of people in a rage at a tsurani gladiator type games. most of the dead there were guilty of nothing more than living in their culture. of course later in the book series, much later, pug kills millions to save more millions (maybe a billion). i'm just surprised to see a reference to his darkest day up till that point in bak.

Thanks for sharing these scenes from Betrayal at Krondor. Was maybe my favorite game back then in the 90s. Great story and awesome music!

@AraxisDemo I learned to play it on my guitar! :D

I wonder, considering recent trend to 'remake' noteworthy games of yore, would be it possible to see another incarnation of this one? It certainly deserves not to be forgotten. All what it requires is dressing in 'next-gen graphics', which, I dare say, are cRPGs at present all about.

I just fireballed Makala to death at the end :).

couldn't have said it better than myself. Too bad there won't be a game like this ever again...
This game rules. It's too bad they got away from making this style of game. We'll probably never see another one like it. I even learned to play "This Kingdom Mine" on my keyboard. Barding it up is key.

Betrayal at Krondor got me into RPGs. This game was the king. The story, the music (the best soundtrack ever made for a video game, in my opinion), the characters, the combat system, etc, was all awesomeness. If you played the Baldur's Gate series, and go back to this one, you'll find some similarities; so you know where Black Isles (Bioware) got a lot their inspirations from.
