  • This is wonderful! I just had a good audition ( I was in the top four for the role!), but ultimately I lost the role to a woman who had worked with the company before (I hadn't). This made me feel a lot better because it is so true, there is a lot of politics in theatre whether it be you don't fit the directors vision for the part or they cast someone they are friends with. It doesn't matter as long as you do your best, don't give up, and go audition for something else! Kristin is so wise :)

  • She is asking the audience what part they would cast in, in the musical Guys and Dolls...they answered Adelaide and she said she was cast as Sara...I am assuming she is addressing the topic of 'type casting' and how you may feel really right for one part but producers/directors etc see you as something else.

  • what is she talking about at the VERY begining? Cast her as in what?
