For those of you viewing this from the English-speaking world, Shakespeare actually wrote a scene that happened on the walls of this very chateau in the mid-15th century, between Lord Suffolk - representative of King VI - and King René of Anjou. King René's daughter Margaret was used as a bargaining chip. To preserve peace in Anjou and stop it being ravaged by war, she was given to Henry VI as his wife.
This is a very loose adaptation of a small section of "King Henry VI, Part 1" by William Shakespeare, written in 1591/92, about 130 years after the real event. As far as is known, this is the first time that true event has been recreated. We hadn't planned on the music interrupting us, so a big "Bravo" for DB who editted this film to capture the words and limit the interference of the music.
