A Cat D10T bulldozer equipped with ASI's Dozer Automation Kit performing ripping operations. The video shows how the automatic ripper control keeps the dozer from getting hung up on large rocks underground. (The footage was shot during testing, sometimes with a person in the dozer. All operation shown is autonomous.)

  • In mining, ripping is often used to break up the surface of leach pads to increase the efficiency of the leaching process.

  • A dozer just can't put it's blade into the ground and remove earth.

You need to put a ripped into the ground first to break up the ground to make it easier to collect more material in the blade.

  • whats the purpose of ripping??
