No Minor Matter - ילד אסור, ילד מותר

Every year, Israeli security forces arrest dozens of Palestinian minors in the West Bank on suspicion of stone-throwing. B'Tselem's report "No Minor Matter" reveals that their rights are severely violated throughout the criminal justice process. While Israeli law meets international standards in granting criminally suspected minors special protections, Israeli military law in the West Bank provides very few protections of this kind to Palestinian minors.

כוחות הביטחון עוצרים מדי שנה עשרות רבות של נערים פלסטינים בגדה המערבית, בחשד שיידו אבנים. מדו"ח בצלם "ילד עצור, ילד מותר" עולה כי זכויותיהם נפגעות קשות לכל אורך ההליך הפלילי. החוק הישראלי, שתוקן על מנת לעמוד בסטנדרטים המקובלים בעולם ובמשפט הבינלאומי, מעניק לקטינים החשודים בעבירות על החוק הגנות רבות יותר בהליך הפלילי מאשר בגירים. בגדה, החוק הצבאי כמעט שאינו מעניק הגנות כאלה וקטינים נשפטים כמעט כמו בגירים, גם לאחר הקמת בית המשפט לנוער.
