I discovered a harp at home and developed a sudden interest on harp music, I really don't know how to play but I would love to play one of my favorites which is "Greensleves" or "Cannon" is there a way you can teach me somehow, like telling which are the steps for strings in each melody? my harp is really small, it has 15 strings.

I am self-taught so I'm not so good in teaching others by tecniqes

it helped me to know how to play the keyboard before, since it's quite the same.. At first I looked at some Youtube movies but they didn't do much and one time I went to another harpist so she'll teach me and she gave me a nice book about the whole harp world.. But I've found out I like my own special way better..

Maybe you've noticed how I don't hold my right hand as the other harpists do.. I usee my fingers differently.. The one who gave me the inspiration was Harpo Marx from the Marx Brothers- yes! since I read he also tuaght himself in his own way.. You can see how well & specially he plays in his movies.. My bottom line is- Practice Practice Practice! That's the only way to get better in my opinion.. and maybe I should do it as well.. Thanks for commenting and Lots of Love! Gil :-)

Yes I teach myself.. i tried to go to go to a teacher one time after months I already played by myself, but I felt that it's not my style.. and that I rather play from my heart and soul naturally, and not the "right" way.. when I feel awkward and uncomfortable.. :-)

soon I'm planning to make movies of myself talking about spirituality..

I might be better in that- or less! ha ha! :-)

It's very hard to hear the harp in this movie.. and not in great sound..
